Materials give each piece its character.

Wood grain, woven cord, and leather each bring their own warmth, texture, and presence. Together, they shape how a piece feels in a room and in use. Explore the materials and options available across the collection.

Wood Choice

Wood shapes each piece through its color, grain, and natural variation. These qualities influence how a form catches the light, where contrast appears, and how the piece feels in a room. Each wood choice is considered as part of the design, allowing the material’s character to remain visible. These are our standard wood choices but others can be considered if requested.

Wood Finish

Hardwax oil is the standard finish for all pieces unless another finish is requested. the finish protects the wood while keeping its grain and natural feel visible. It creates a soft, low-sheen finish and helps resist everyday moisture, dirt, and wear. The surface can be cleaned with warm soapy water and spot-repaired with maintenance oil over time.

Maintenance and repair kits are available upon request.

Danish cord brings a woven counterpoint to the solid wood frame. Its repeated lines add texture and rhythm, while the choice of natural or black cord creates a different relationship with the wood: natural brings warmth, while black adds a sleek modern contrast. The woven seat offers a tactile surface with a subtle give, balancing the structure of the frame with a softer place to sit.

Traditionally made from twisted paper fibers, Danish cord is valued for its strength and flexibility in furniture.

Leather brings a supple, tactile counterpoint to the structure of wood. Available in black, tan, brown, and red-brown, it can shift the character of a piece—from crisp contrast to warmer, earthier tones.

All leatherwork is hand-stitched and crafted in the studio. Each hide has its own grain and natural markings, giving every finished piece subtle variation.
